As a very patriotic American, I have decided to exercise my First Amendment right to assuage the frustration I feel toward what appears to be a lack of support toward our government and our troops. I believe our local anti-war protestors to be ignorant and disrespectful. Do you realize at what cost came your right to protest? Have you ever thought about the man who has given up his life to protect yours? This is not a war about oil and this is not a war about retaliation. This will be a war to defend what our forefathers gave us. Freedom is not free.
Our soldiers have willingly volunteered to put their lives in the line of fire in order that they may preserve something greater than themselves. These are men who have the integrity to defend life as we know it. They respect and uphold the sacrifice our grandfathers and fathers made. How unfortunate the protestors lack this kind of informed perspective. I say shame on anyone who cannot see that these men fight with their lives to give you the right to not support them! Thank God for our soldiers who have the character and patriotism the rest of you lack. God bless America.
