Locals can learn the basics of belly dancing on Tuesday nights at the Michael Landon Center, Malibu Bluffs Park from April 16 – June 4 from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Leading the class will be Melanie Papish, who has taught over 1,500 people the art of belly dancing, according to a city release. She will teach isolations, movement of the torso, arm & hand movements, hip lifts and shimmies & traveling steps, says the release.
Dress comfortably and tie something fun at your hips like a coin sash, fringy shawl or beaded shawl if you wish.
