The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department arrested a man for driving under the influence on Aug. 30 when the suspect was reported for erratic driving on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), according to information from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.

Multiple callers informed the police at approximately 10:45 p.m. of a man in a grey Infinity G35 driving dangerously on PCH. One tipster described the man as obviously drunk, another said that the driver had driven over the median and into opposing traffic while another claimed the man had already been involved in an accident.

Deputy Joseph Telles saw the vehicle on the side of the 20500 block of PCH and attempted to approach the car but the suspect took off, prompting Telles to give chase.

After sideswiping another car, the suspect pulled over on the 23000 block of PCH and was promptly arrested and taken into custody. After a quick search of the vehicle, Telles discovered several illicit and prescription drugs.

The suspect, Pejman Mohamed Daneshjou, 33, was booked for felony evading, driving under the influence, misdemeanor hit and run, and driving on a suspended license.
