Nicole Fisher and Zoe Langley teamed up with Karen Smythe to help Juan Cabrillo Elementary students send a message of peace around the world as part of a Peace Day outreach and cultural art project. Last year, flags were sent to Russia, Great Britain and the Congo. This year, Smythe took the flags to Southeast Asia, specifically Bali, Malaysia and Vietnam.Â
