council run
I pulled a nomination form last week, but whether I file it depends.
I pulled the form because I am concerned that many council members-past, present, and future-forget or ignore the Vision and Mission Statements prepared by a committee of residents and adopted by the first City Council. As one involved with establishing our City and as its first Mayor, I believe these statements represent what forming the City of Malibu was all about; especially, quote “whose citizens have historically evidenced a commitment to sacrifice urban and suburban conveniences in order to protect that environment and lifestyle.”
If I can find two candidates that wholeheartedly endorse those statements and will make them part of their campaign platform, I will not file and will support them to the best of my ability.
It’s as simple as that.
