I read with great dismay your article regarding the firing of Nancy Cicatelli and Harry McDermot by Ralphs Market. I have been a customer of Ralphs, and all previous owners, for more than 20 years. I have personal knowledge of both these employees and they are probably two of the best. Both are courteous, helpful and always went that extra step. The fact that they are not well versed in FBI or CIA procedures for recognizing false IDs should not cost them their jobs.
The people who should be punished are those that use the IDs or those that create the false documents, not the ones that fall prey to their use. I support both Nancy and Harry and unless Ralphs is willing to hire specialists in fraud they should not penalize good employees who are both trusting and helpful. Ralphs-do the right thing and give those two people their jobs back!
