Hans Laetz finally did it!
He is to be congratulated for bringing FM radio to Malibu (97.5 KBUU). Over a year of his hard work has paid off. KBUU serves western Malibu, but he has an application for a sister station for eastern Malibu pending at the Federal Communications Commission.
He is also in talks with National Public Radio to acquire its programming. Hopefully, we will soon be able to listen to NPR’s “All Things Considered,” “Morning Edition” and other programming here in Malibu and not just when we drive into Santa Monica or L.A.
Hans, here are a couple of suggestions: expand the music programming now on the air to include classical, Big Bands and American Songbook music; also, try to get Garrison Keillor/Prairie Home Companion.
