Point Dume Marine Science School (PDMSS) celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday and Read Across America with a visit from author Marc Clark.
Clark shared his award-winning children’s stories — “The Princess Fables” and “The Royal Fables” — with PDMSS students throughout the day, and 12 of the school’s future writers were chosen to have lunch with the special guest.
PDMSS is one of five Los Angeles area elementary schools that are part of Clark’s six-week book tour, which coincides with a fundraising campaign to publish his first hardcover book, “The Princess and the Parakeet.” The campaign will also contribute to brookesblossoms.org in memory of the girl who inspired the story.
