During the course of my campaign for reelection, people have asked whose “team” I am on. My answer is always “the citizens of Malibu.” On April 8, Malibu will be electing three people to the city council. Some candidates have chosen to align with others or run as a slate. While I respect the rights of these candidates to do so, I have chosen to remain independent and trust the citizens of Malibu to make the choice they believe is in the best interest of the future of our city.
I have invited all city council candidates and citizens of Malibu to “Meet and Greet” gatherings at Bluffs Park on March 15 and March 29 from 12 to 2. It is my hope that as many people as possible can personally meet and talk with all the candidates so they can have the information needed to make up their own minds concerning how to vote.
