Pepperdine men’s golf player Sahith Theegala was honored with the All-American honorable mention award by the Golf Coaches Association of American and Ping on Thursday, June 21. The honor is the second awarded to Theegala in the offseason; he was named to the Golfweek All-American third team earlier this month.
According to Pepperdine Athletics, Theegala is the fourth men’s golfer in university history to earn All-American status over multiple semesters. He also received recognition during his sophomore year in 2016-17.
Theegala will next be playing with the the country’s Arnold Palmer Cup team in France next month.
