The City of Malibu announced a new partnership with the Boys and Girls Club for the 2017-18 school year. Their partnership will allow participants to engage in after-school enrichment programs at local Malibu elementary schools.

Programs are based around the STEAM model, which will include activities in subjects of science, technology, engineering, art and math. There are also classes in LEGO engineering, culinary arts, computer technology, theater arts and much more!

“Our after school program at Point Dume School over the past few years has been a tremendous success,” said Malibu Mayor Skylar Peak, according to a press release issued by the city. “We are so grateful to the Boys and Girls Club for helping us expand it into our other elementary schools, so all of Malibu’s kids have access to the same fun, exciting after school activities.”

Enrichment programs are included in the price of a Boys and Girls Club membership. Participants with a membership can register for these programs through Director of Elementary Programs and Services Ariel Krakowsky, by calling 310.457.2582. Participants without a Boys and Girls Club membership are welcome to sign up for enrichment programs by paying the $150 community rate. Students can register online at malibucity.org/reigster.
