The Malibu city Council election is two months away … and beginning today … KB UU will be running “All Sides Equal Time.”
Each Malibu city council candidate has been given three one minute windows to campaign on the air.
The station does not charge for the time and the candidates maintain total editorial control.
Candidates get to pick the subject this time.
In a few weeks we will toss questions … for them to answer.
“All Sides Equal Time” will run once an hour between now and election day.

Human bones were found just off the 101 Freeway in Calabasas yesterday.
Caltrans workers made the discovery along a hiking trail … west of the Mureau Road overpass and south of the 101.
This is the top of the hill of the 101 freeway entering the Valley.
The remains were badly decomposed.
This is a long distance … 10 miles or so .. from where a man was reported missing to Los Angeles police … on the eastern side of Topanga Canyon much closer to the ocean.
A Granada Hills man … Matthew Weaver … was last seen in the Topanga area of the Santa Monica Mountains on Aug. 10.
He was last seen at the Rosas Overlook where he apparently had driven his vehicle.
And although two men have been killed and dumped near roads in the Malibu mountains this summer … these remains were a bit further from a road.
Gang killings are believed to have been the motives behind the other two deaths.
Sheriffs homicide detectives say its far too early to establish what the cause of death was here.
But it appears to detectives that the bones are not connected to the case of a

The M R C A has just purchased 98 acres of Santa Monica Mountains just south of the 101 Freeway and west of Liberty Canyon Road.
The Acorn newspaper reports that the land will be just tp the south of the proposed Cougar Crossing … the wildlife bridge to be built over the 101 Freeway and over Agoura Road.
Paul Edelman at the MRCA says the acquisition will create a block of 2,430 acres of contiguous public open space that is not bisected by a single paved road … including 537 acres of parkland currently owned and managed by the MRCA.
It connects Malibu Creek State Park to the Liberty Canyon wildlife corridor.
MRCA bought the 98 acres for just $200,000,
