Road Work Scheduled Across Malibu from April 15-22

Brace yourself: Construction is coming.

Webb Way, from Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu Road, will be closed from Tuesday, April 16, to Friday, May 3, from 10 p.m. – 6 a.m. for the installation of a new fire hydrant. Caltrans personnel will conduct traffic control during this period.

From April 15-19, a City of Malibu contractor will conduct slurry seal work—used to preserve and protect the pavement surface underneath—at various residential streets in Malibu. Work hours are from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., with traffic control as needed. The schedule (including locations) is as follows:

• April 15 and 17—Malibu Road (PCH near Malibu Colony to the 23900 block of Malibu Road)

• April 18—Roca Chica Drive (Seaboard Road to cul-de-sac) and Seamoor Drive (Roca Chica Drive to cul-de-sac)

• April 18-19—Las Flores Canyon Road (PCH to city limits)

• April 19—Royal Stone Drive (Roca Chica Drive to the cul-de-sac)

• April 19 and 22—Seaboard Road (Roca Chica Drive to 20400 block of Seaboard)

• April 22—Piedra Chica (Big Rock to cul-de-sac), Little Rock Way, Pinnacle Way, Cool Oak Way, Rambla Vista (west entrance off PCH to Villa Costera) and Paseo Serra (Rambla Vista to cul-de-sac)

The city will also be conducting striping work on streets including Cool Oak Way, Pinnacle Way, Little Rock Way, Malibu Road, Seaboard Road, Royal Stone Drive, Seamoor Drive, Piedra Chica Road and Roca Chica Drive.

Topanga Canyon Boulevard will also be closed between PCH and Grand View Drive 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. through Friday, April 19, for Caltrans storm repair work and slope erosion control.
