Malibu Surfriders Win Strawberry Cup Championship

The Malibu Surfriders took first place in the Strawberry Cup, beating teams from Santa Monica, Bakersfield, Camarillo and Rancho Cucamonga. The Malibu Surfriders soccer team played in the 20th annual Strawberry Cup soccer tournament in Camarillo on May 10 and 11. The team played in the BU12 division and won their first game against Santa Monica and also beat Bakersfield, both on May 10. 

On Sunday, May 11, the Surfriders beat Camarillo with a 4-0 victory. In the championship game that day, the team beat Rancho Cucamonga with a score of 2-0, earning them first place. 

The Surfriders will compete again in the Santa Barbara Splash in June.
