Cyclists with the AIDS LifeCycle Ride to End AIDS will ride through Malibu on the morning of June 6. Drivers, motorcyclists and pedestrians are asked to share the road during the event while cyclists ride through the area.

Approximately 2,500 cyclists are participating in a week-long ride to raise money and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Riders will leave Ventura around 6:30 a.m., according to the City, with stops at Nicholas Canyon Beach and lunch at Malibu Bluffs Park. From Bluffs Park, the cyclists will continue east on PCH, riding through Santa Monica toward the finish line in West Los Angeles.

The event, which began in San Francisco on May 31, “delivers a life-changing experience for thousands of participants from all backgrounds and fitness levels united by a common desire to do something heroic,” according to a release.
