Pepperdine University senior Ivy Allen is leading a group of 18 College Republicans from across California — known as Advance CRR — in their campaign to become the next generation of California College Republicans (CCR) Statewide Elected Officers.
Allen has been involved with Republican politics since her junior year in high school, has been a member of CCR since her freshman year at Pepperdine University and has served on the Executive Committee since 2014. She also worked at Deputy Campaign Manager for Catherine Baker for Assembly 2014, helping to bring the Bay Area its only Republican legislator.
Allen hopes to be elected CCR’s next state chairwoman—a role that focuses on expanding the organization’s membership of over 3,000 students to help build the Republican party, support current Republican elected officials and bring new Republicans to office.
The CCR election will take place during the CCR Statewide Convention on April 10 in San Diego. If elected, Allen and Advance CCR will serve as the CCR Statewide Elected Officers for the 2016-17 academic year.
