Malibu is heating up this weekend, and the National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement warning of near-record temperatures throughout Southern California.
A coastal marine layer should spare Malibu of the most extreme heat, but the weather is still expected to warm up to the 80s throughout the weekend, according to The Weather Channel.
Thursday is forecast to be cloudy in the morning, with the clouds burning off for a mostly sunny afternoon with an expected high of 85. It’s expected to remain mostly clear into the night, with a forecast low of 68.
Friday’s weather is expected to be similar to Thursday’s, with clouds in the morning and sun in the afternoon. There is an expected high of 84, cooling down to a partly cloudy evening with an expected low of 69.
Expect Saturday to be another cloudy morning and sunny afternoon with a predicted high of 85. The evening should stay warm, with an expected low of 70 and partial cloud cover.
Sunday is expected to round out the warm weekend with morning clouds, afternoon sun and an expected high of 83. The evening is forecast to give way to clouds and an expected low of 69.Â
