Malibu Joins Campaign to Educate Residents on Energy Usage

The City of Malibu has chosen to take part in “Do Your Thing” campaign, a movement by Energy Upgrade California designed to educate state residents about smarter energy use to benefit California. The goals of the campaign are to reduce pollution, decrease pollution-related health costs, promote a healthy lifestyle and stimulate job growth as well as economic development. “Do Your Thing” specifically encourages residents to unplug electronics when turned off, upgrade to LED lightbulbs and use high-powered devices at cost-efficient times.

Energy Upgrade California was created by the California Public Utilities Commission in 2011 to promote effective energy efficiency practices for residents and businesses alike.
