I’m writing to you regarding my frustrating communication with the city in regards to widening Broad Beach Road with brick. When I talked to them, they said they have the money and they may or may not do it. The reason for doing it is for run-off and filtration.
As a resident of Broad Beach Road, I’m disappointed because I believe it will create a wider look to the road as well remove the rustic look of the park-like space north of Broad Beach Road. As you may know, Broad Beach Road was the original PCH and I believe has historic value and should be preserved as is and not have more cement which will take away a lot of the natural look of the park-like space. “Pavers” is just a fancy word for more cement.
