The California Department of Parks and Recreation announced the temporary closure of Point Mugu State Park. The park closure began on Dec. 17 and will remain effective through Jan 12, 2015 at 12 p.m.
The closure is a result of the recent storms and is in place to provide for the security, safeguarding and preservation of resources throughout all of the backcountry trails and areas of Point Mugu State Park by allowing staff to properly assess and clean/repair storm related damage. Violators who are found in the area are subject to arrest.Â
