On Aug. 5, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department conducted a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. at PCH and Webb Way.

In that time, there were

  • 592 Vehicles screened
  • 3 DUI-Alcohol suspects arrested
  • 2 Arrested for other criminal charges
  • 16 Drivers cited/arrested for driving a vehicle without a license or while suspended/revoked
  • 2 vehicles impounded for 30 days
  • 4 vehicles stored for 1 day

Law enforcement advised everybody to “designate a sober driver or call a cab,” to avoid citations or putting yourself or others in danger.
