Hazardous weather conditions are expected over the next few days, with red flag warnings across Southern California, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures will reach around 83 degrees in Malibu until Wednesday, and humidity levels will stay between 60-70%.

The heat wave will bring temperatures into the 100’s in the low valleys and deserts and despite low winds, elevate the fire warning, especially in the mountains.

Mountainous regions may see thunderstorms in the evenings through the week until Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

After Wednesday, there should be a dip in the heat wave with temperatures falling back into the 70s.

In addition to the severe weather conditions, strong rip currents will affect beaches today and tomorrow. Beachgoers should plan on staying near a lifeguard tower and if caught in a rip current, swim parallel to the shore.
