Earthquake Strikes Off Malibu Coast

A 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck about five miles off of the coast of Malibu Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The quake occurred at 10:03 a.m. and was reported as felt by witnesses as far away as Woodland Hills.

The epicenter was six miles south-southwest of Malibu Beach, six miles southeast of Malibu and 12 miles from Agoura Hills according to the USGS. The depth of the earthquake was reported as 7.9 miles.
