Malibu racecar driver Austin Dyne won the Sunoco Rookie Championship Award at the Phoenix Casino Arizona 50 K&N Pro Series West season finale earlier this month. Dyne started the race with a four-point lead over his closest rookie contender, and kept his lead throughout the race to earn the award.
“I approached the day with a strategy to drive a smart points race and do nothing stupid,” Dyne said. “The Sunoco Rookie Championship was what we wanted and I wasn’t going to do anything to throw it away.”
