The Malibu High School Theatre Department will take the stage this weekend to perform “Xanadu, the Musical,” a stage spoof of the 1980 cult classic film. The play tells the story of a Greek muse who travels from Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach on a quest to inspire a struggling artist to create a roller disco. The musical comedy features a number of pop hits from the ’70s.
Performances will take place at the high school Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for students/seniors and $20 for adults. For more information and tickets visit malibuhigh.org.
