Magnitude 2.8 Earthquake Strikes Near Malibu

A shallow magnitude 2.8 earthquake was reported Tuesday at 4:30 a.m. near Malibu, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake occurred at a depth of five miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was six miles from Malibu. In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby, according to the L.A. Times.
