Reader’s Poem: YOUTHFULNESS

Youthfulness is forever –

I heard a mystic say.

It matters not the age you claim,

Or how you spend the day.

It all starts within the heart,

And your attitude at best –

And how you see the world around,

With time, for joy and rest.

How you think, with thoughts distinct,

Will rule what comes to you –

Life does not just happen,

As you find it’s often true.

And don’t forget to eat and rest,

I heard him also claim –

Too often some are on the run,

And play the loser’s game.

But most of all, I do recall,

The Mystic said for fact –

“That humor sustains youthfulness”

In how we live and act.

Yes, youthfulness, you cannot hide,

It shows wherever you go –

The one that has that inner spark,

Is loved by all – you know.
