Go no furtherfor great theater

Residents of Malibu shoulder the burden of a plethora of blessings. Were we to awaken each morning and start the day with a recital of natural and human wrought benefits we enjoy, it surely would be late in the day before we would be halfway through the list.

It is sad that we often don’t have, or don’t take, the time to enjoy many of the wonderful opportunities that abound in our fine city. This past weekend marked the opening of Malibu Stage Company’s delightful, funny and, at times, poignant, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.”

Briefly put, it is wonderful! It is a revue in song of woman-man dynamics that are very familiar to any of us who have a heart that has been swollen, bruised, broken or caressed. The players give a wide range of spot-on characterizations, with vocals that are brilliant, comedic, moving, forceful and touching. Our local talent provides all this, and we have incredible local talent.

Before the Holiday Season grips us with its all consuming demands upon our time, Malibuites would be wise to take advantage of their own theater, and enjoy a freeway-less drive, dollar-less parking, good seats, and an evening of outstanding singing and comedy performed by an energetic and highly skilled troupe of superbly talented entertainers. In these times of wanting top value for our hard-earned wages, this show offers the best exchange rate in town!
