The Karma Dealers, Shannon Navarro-Mitchell and Michael Mitchell, open the Malibu Living | Real Estate Music and Art Reception on Saturday afternoon.

Malibu Living | Real Estate hosted Music and Art Reception — an ongoing series celebrating the arts — at Point Dume Plaza courtyard.

The idea for this was created by  Office Manager Aubrey Coles with the support of Founder and Broker Bill Chadwick. “My heart has always been for the artists, and I understand their need to create and value their passion and importance to our society, and am honored, in some small way, to give them a platform to display and perform their art,” Coles shared.

Featured artists include Malibu locals Kathleen Bieck and Ed D’Andrea, whose artwork will be on display throughout the month of May as well as D’Andrea/Bieck Gallery.

A crowd filled the courtyard as locals and visitors listened to music by Karma Dealers, Seablood and Ana Leimma. Dylan Brosnan, who performs in two bandsww, Ana Leimma and Raspberry Blonde, is working on being a professional musician as a career choice. “Raspberry Blonde is my solo project for which I write all the songs myself. Ana Leimma is the collaborative four-piece band.”

Malibu Living | Real Estate offers an environment where musicians can perform for a live audience. “After seeing this last event, I realized we should do this at least once a month during the summer.  I would love to showcase several artists at once,” Cole said.
