LA Virtuosi Association to Host Concert Series at Pepperdine

Smothers Theatre plays host to live performances throughout the year. 

The Los Angeles Virtuosi Association will host its 11th Anniversary Celebration Concerts at Pepperdine University’s Smothers Theatre this Sunday, May 22. 

The evening will begin with a Spectacular Spring Concert, led by artistic director and conductor Olivia Tsui, at 4 p.m. The performance will feature Los Angeles Virtuosi Chamber Players, the Los Angeles Opera Domingo, Colburn and Stein Young Artists, and special guests. Alireza Shahmohammadi will lead authentic classical Persian music in the interlude before the second concert — a World Music Showcase — begins at 6:30 p.m. Led by composer, arranger and conductor Honiball Joseph, the second concert will feature a tour of Persian, Assyrian, Jewish, Armenian, Kurdish and Turkish music.
