Surging Santa Ana winds are expected to increase local fire danger on Sunday and Monday, according to a Red Flag Warning issued by the National Weather Service.
The warning takes effect at 10 a.m. on Sunday and runs until 8 p.m. Monday. Officials say critical fire conditions could be created from Santa Ana winds blowing up to 70 MPH. Humidity will also dip between 7 and 15 percent, according to the NWS.
Winds on Tuesday should be lighter, but humidity will remain low. The Red Flag Warning was issued for Los Angeles and Ventura counties. A wind advisory is also in effect Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.Â
