Rounding out the list of awardees is Kate Kaplan, the nominee for Viewpoint School. Kaplan started her career at Viewpoint back in 2005; as a senior, she’s referred to as a “lifer.”
She has been involved in a number of extracurricular activities, including serving as co-president of CORE and participating in Mock Trial as well as volunteering for SOVA, Park Oaks Tutoring and Math Mentors. Kaplan has put in more than 300 hours of community service.
Academically, the senior is a member of the Science National Honor Society, French Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Global Scholars and Cum Laude Society.
Kaplan has received the Rookie of the Year, Coach’s Award and Team Spirit awards as part of her time on varsity high school swim team.
With a bright future ahead of her, Kaplan will be taking on Princeton University in the fall.
