Catherine Calvert, a 2005 graduate of Malibu High School and current senior at UCLA, has played for the university’s women’s soccer team, which is now ranked no. 2, for four years.
The Bruins’ Saturday night home victory over Duke solidified their third undefeated season, earned them a spot in the NCAA Final Four, and was attended by many Malibu locals who came out to show their support. Their semi-final match is Friday night against North Carolina in Gary, Indiana.
