The Malibu City Council will rotate mayors at its Monday, March 24, regular meeting. Traditionally, the mayor pro tem becomes the mayor. In this case, Skylar Peak is expected to take over.

Joan House was named Malibu mayor for the fourth time in June of 2013, while Skylar Peak was appointed mayor pro tem by the council, after being denied that job nine months prior.

A new mayor pro tem will also be elected during the meeting, followed by a celebratory reception at City Hall. The City Council meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.
