The L.A. Lawyers Philharmonic performed at the ninth annual Concert Extraordinaire at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The orchestra and its chorus—Legal Voices—performed Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” and Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Scheherazade,” plus excerpts from “West Side Story,” “On the Town” and “Candide.” Proceeds benefited the LA County Bar Association’s Council for Justice and Beverly Hills Bar Foundation.
Legendary actor Edward Asner was honored with the “Junie” Award by the philharmonic’s founder-conductor, Malibu resident Gary S. Greene, Esq. The award is presented based on the honoree’s humanitarian work.
