The local school board last night unanimously approved the plan to end elementary school classes at Juan Cabrillo school …
This is despite warnings from district employees that concentrating all the elementary school kids on the point doing campus will create two specific traffic hazards.

The governor and the CPUC are not happy … not happy at all … with the way the power company is handling intentional Santa Ana wind blackouts.

It’s just been an awful week on Pacific Coast Highway … traffic wise.
First … the stalled motor home that corked things up three days ago … two hour delays from that one.
Yesterday … sighting of a small airplane on P C H at Will Rogers Beach lead to fire trucks and police cars … an apparent plane forced landing.
Turns out … the plane had been there for a day … for some reason.
Then later yesterday … a construction crew showed up in the eastbound lanes at the Belair Bay club … and caused delays topping one hour heading into Santa Monica.
We have Caltrans the construction crew had a permit … and who they were.
The state was checking.
