Workers from Caltrans will close one lane of Topanga Canyon Boulevard to remove rocks and debris along slopes on Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a Caltrans press release. The work will take place about 1.5 miles north of Pacific Coast Highway. Motorists are advised to expect 30 to 45 minute traffic delays and consider taking alternate routes.
Traffic control will be present, and closures are subject to change. Caltrans is hiring rock climbers to ascend the slopes to clear rocks that could fall during rainy weather onto the highway below.
