After reading the letter I sent to him, requesting the program, Classic Arts Showcase, Pepperdine Director of Broadcasting Wade Brown called me. He said they have one satellite feed, which they can use either for broadcasting the “Classic Arts Showcase” or a German-language educational series. It seems, for some reason, they had gotten several calls about broadcasting the German series, but no one has seemed to care about what’s happened with the “Classic Arts Showcase.” However, after considering our letter prevailing upon them to continue broadcasting the “Classic Arts Showcase” on their Channel 26, they’ve agreed to do this on alternate weeks.
If they receive more Malibu community residents’ interest in viewing this program on a regular basis, they will do so exclusively. So, if you haven’t already had the opportunity to view these fine, classical music videos, you should do so. They are vignettes, each under five minutes long to cooperate with copyright restrictions, and feature vintage symphonic, opera, art videos, dance excerpts. You can view them now after 1 p.m. and in the evening on alternate weeks. If you let Pepperdine know that you want to continue seeing it, they’ve agreed to do so.
