A pedestrian was struck and killed early Saturday morning at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Sunset Blvd. in Pacific Palisades, according to reports by the Palisadian-Post.
The accident, which occurred close to 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning, July 19, resulted in lane closures on PCH that lasted into daylight hours.
The victim was reported by the Palisadian-Post to be a 25-year-old Los Angeles resident who was crossing the Highway at the time of the fatal accident.
Further details as to the victim’s identity have yet to be released by the Los Angeles Police Department or the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash reportedly remained on scene and an LAPD investigation as to the cause of the accident is underway.

The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Anna Benitez of Los Angeles.
