Sarah Stone’s work ”Everything’s Connected,” created with oil and water-miscible paint on paper, is among the artwork on display at the Malibu Lumber Yard’s Eco Art exhibit.

The Malibu Lumber Yard Gallery is hosting Eco Art from July 20 until Aug. 12, with an opening reception July 27. The Eco Art exhibit is taking place in conjunction with the Malibu Arts Festival, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Wiser.org.

A statement from the MLY gallery called Eco Art “a juried and curated exhibition of works from artists and designers addressing conservation and adaption to our earth. One of the greater emerging art movements of today, Eco Art meditates on some of the planetary changes we currently face—pollution, sustainability and urban renewal.”

Artwork at the exhibit ranges from paintings and photography to sculptures and assemblages. Many of the art pieces utilize recycled materials.

Featured artists at the exhibit include Sharon Brooks, Daniel Chavira, Eeench Eenchian, Bijian Fan, Jennifer Glassman, Anne Jude Hunt, Maureen Haldeman, Heather Lowe, Shaun Murphy, Keri Rosebraugh, Shawn K. Riley, Eugenie Spirito, Sarah Stone, Seda Saar, Bonita Tabakin and Monica Wyatt.
