Penguin Random House’s Penguin Young Readers partnered with local charity Crayon Collection as part of a national campaign for “The Day the Crayons Came Home” by Drew Daywalt and Oliver Jeffers.
Daywalt will read and sign copies of the book with the Crayon Collection at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Family Day on Sunday, Aug. 23.
The international charity initiative is dedicated to providing repurposed crayons to children in need, and also provides educational tools to teach younger generations the benefits of recycling, reducing waste and sharing with the less fortunate.
