Whales – especially curious juvenile whales – are getting caught in fishing gear around the globe.
When they get in trouble, whales are coming to people for help.
A humpback whale named Valentina got tangled up in fishing net in the Gulf of California, and five rescuers spent a couple hours freeing her.
In return for her freedom, Valentina expressed her gratitude and pure joy by breaching (jumping out of the water) 40 times, as well as many tail and pectoral fin slaps, and a lot of tail waving.
Whales are very intelligent mammals; it’s time to stop killing them in Japan, Iceland, Denmark and Norway because whales intend us no harm.
The awesome filter feeding whales with their vast flocculent fecal plumes (their excrement) rich in iron and nitrogen are fertilizing the oceans and rebuilding the lost 40 percent phytoplankton that the fossil fuel-driven climate crisis has created. Phytoplankton is the base of the entire marine food web and it provides each earthling with almost three out of every four breaths of oxygen.
Whales are helping humanity fight the climate crisis.
Loving nature is the solution.
