Western Malibu residents will be losing a neighbor this week, since according to the LA Times, Olympic gold medal winner Greg Louganis closed the deal selling his Malibu home on Friday.
Originally, Louganis was hoping to rent out his property, which due to financial difficulties he could no longer maintain, but he ended up putting it on the market and closing the deal this summer.
Louganis, who competed in diving in the 1976 Summer Olympics and went on to win gold in 1984 and 1988, has had his Malibu Hills home on the market since April 2014.
Sitting on over an acre of land, the home provides ocean views and a large entertaining deck, in addition to the living room with vaulted ceilings.
The house, which comes with a custom pool and diving platform, as well as three bedrooms, four bathrooms and a guest suite, sold for a reported $1.8 million, after being originally listed at just under $3 million.
