Weekend Weather and a Welcome to Summer in Malibu

Residents can anticipate a breezy weekend, with temperatures in the low 70s throughout the weekend.  

On Friday night, the National Weather Service reports a low around 58. 

The summer solstice and longest day of the year is on Saturday, June 21, and beachgoers can expect dense fog in the morning, with a high around 70 degrees, winds up to 10 MPH and a low at 58 degrees. The forecast for Sunday looks slightly warmer with a high of 72 degrees.

Weekend events include a hike for women at Charmlee Wilderness Park, hosted by the Malibu Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 21 at 8 a.m. In celebration of International Surfing Day, Marmalade Cafe is hosting an event to benefit Sea Safe Foundation at 3 p.m. on June 21.  On Saturday night, the Malibu Film Society will host a free screening of “Earth To Echo,” at the Malibu Screening Room at 7 p.m.  Free dinner will be provided for the first 150 guests to arrive.
