High surf advisory issued until 10 p.m. Sunday

The National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory for Malibu on Sunday morning. The notice is in effect until 10 p.m. on Sunday. 

Recent days of heavy storming have brought 6-to-12-foot waves to beaches in Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, with some peak spots hitting 15 feet. The showers are supposed to clear out Monday, but weather will remain in the 60s during the daytime with a 20 percent chance of rain.

This is the second high surf advisory issued for the area in the last few days, the first advisory lasted Thursday morning through Saturday night
