Optimist Club Hosts Excellence in Education Program

The Malibu Optimist Club hosted its eighth annual Excellence in Education program during a recent breakfast. Six local teachers were presented “Teacher of the Year” awards by Optimist program chair Phil Gajic and Optimist emcee Ken Kearsley. Teachers were nominated by their respective schools’ principals for significant contributions to educating Malibu students. In addition to the accolades, the teachers were presented with awards and $100 gift cards to Geoffrey’s Malibu.
