It is truly reprehensible that your newspaper is willing to profit from selling ad space to The Ringling Bros. Circus. This circus is nothing more than sanctioned animal abuse. Extreme suffering is endured by the elephants just to satisfy certain humans’ sickening idea of what constitutes entertainment. The practice of using (abusing) animals for entertainment purposes is absolutely barbaric.Â
Shame on you.Â
I implore you to forego selling future ad space to promote such an archaic, greedy and ghastly company.Â
Any parent who believes that taking their child to the circus is a good idea for a fun afternoon, should be forced to watch the behind the scene videos of the cruelty that is inflicted on these incredible creatures.Â
