Panelists from the first session of “Building Collaborative Education Policy in California”

Pepperdine School of Public Policy held its first education conference on Friday, Oct. 6, in the university’s Wilburn Auditorium. “Building Collaborative Education Policy in California,” co-hosted with Media Image PR, covered education policy issues on quality of instruction, school integration, graduation reports and more.

The event featured two panels, moderated by 89.3 KPCC education reporter Kyle Stokes and LA School Report executive editor Laura Greanias, respectively. 

The panels included people involved in education from all over California. Notable panelists included John Rogers, University of California at Los Angeles Institute for Democracy; Marshall Tuck, candidate for the California State Superintendent of Public Instruction; Alex Caputo-Pearl of United Teachers of Los Angeles and Dr. Frances Gipson from the Los Angeles Unified School District.
