Pepperdine University’s California Mu Chapter of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women has received the highest honor, the Balfour Cup, for its 2013-2014 academic year. Pi Beta Phi has more than 135 international chapters and California Mu was one of 17 chapters that were ranked as Chapters of Excellence, a pool from which the recipient of the Balfour Cup is selected.
The Balfour Cup, which was introduced in 1921, is based on an evaluation of the chapter’s success and its quality of the Pi Beta Phi membership experience, including accomplishments in academics, philanthropy, finances, housing and Panhellenic and campus involvement.
