Teddy Roosevelt Impersonator to Perform at Rotary Club Meeting

Theodore Roosevelt impersonator Joe Wiegand will perform at the Malibu Rotary Club’s Dec. 2 meeting at Pepperdine’s Drescher Graduate Campus. 

Wiegand has performed at hundreds of locations associated with Roosevelt’s life and legacy, including the American Museum of Natural History, The Smithsonian American Art Museum and the National Parks Service. He also modeled for a Roosevelt bronze sculpture at the American Museum of Natural History and performed at the White House for President and Mrs. George W. Bush in honor of Roosevelt’s 150th birthday.

Television and film have also broadcast appearances from Wiegand in “The Men Who Built America,” “The Forward Pass: A Football Life” and the upcoming IMAX film “America Wild.”

Wiegand is a member of the Encinitas, Calif. Rotary Club and gifts his performances to Rotary Club Members.

The Dec. 2 meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. and Wiegand’s performance will begin around 12:20 p.m. The meeting and performance are open to the public. For more information, contact Bill Wishard at 310.625.5339.
